|Welcome to Bonefeathers Retrievers. We are located just outside Ogdensburg, New York – at
the eastern end of the scenic 1,000 Islands of the St. Lawrence River on the Canadian border.
We are approximately two hours north/northeast of Syracuse, New York and an hour south
of Ottawa, Ontario.
Our dogs are an integral part of our lives and to that end share our home rather than live in
a kennel. We are active in a number of dog-related activities including but not limited to pet
therapy, agility, obedience and rally. We are members of Golden Retriever Club of America,
Golden Retriever Club of Central New York, Golden Retriever Rescue of Central New York
and St. Lawrence Valley Dog Club.
We strive to produce intelligent dogs that meet the breed standard for structure and
temperament – a moderate size dog that is willing and able to perform well in numerous
areas, whether on an agility course or as a beloved family pet.
Breeding is carefully planned, averaging one litter per year. We only breed dogs who have
obtained OFA heart, elbow and hip clearances as well as an annual CERF eye examination.
We require the same of any dog we breed to. Puppies are born and raised in our home, where
they are well socialized and exposed to a variety of learning experiences. Puppies are sold on
limited AKC registration with spay/neuter contracts to approved families only.
We invite you to stay for a while and visit!
